Summary
Join Standard Metrics, a leading automated financial collaboration platform, as a Tech Lead Manager. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will significantly impact the core product and company culture. This role requires managing a team of full-stack engineers, leading technical direction, and building web applications. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in managing teams, building web applications, and working with modern web and infrastructure technologies. Standard Metrics offers competitive compensation, including a salary between $200,000-$240,000 plus equity, comprehensive health insurance, flexible vacation time, and paid parental leave. While many team members work remotely, preference is given to candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Requirements
- 10+ years of overall software engineering experience with 3+ years of experience in managing and optimizing small to mid size software teams
- Strong record of delivery on product outcomes
- Strong record of building and delivering web applications
- Expertise in a modern web framework (Django, Flask, Express, etc.)
- Expertise in a modern SPA framework (React, Angular, Vue, etc.)
- Expertise in modern infrastructure (Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, CircleCI, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Manage a pod of full-stack engineers and be willing to jump in to code as needed
- Partner with product managers in developing and executing product roadmap
- Help develop the company's technical strategy and roadmap in coordination with the product and business teams
- Coordinate with the broader engineering team to spec features and communicate timelines
- Mentor engineers on the team and help them to grow and achieve their career goals
- Recruit, hire, and maintain an excellent team
- Help identify pain points and build work flows to remove blockers for the engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
Past experience working in startups and financial technology companies is a plus
