Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• CPA required
• 5+ years of accounting experience required
• SEC reporting, FDICIA and SOX experience desired
• 2 years of related work experience, with Big 4 public accounting experience preferred but not required
• Excellent knowledge of US GAAP
• Communication (written & verbal)
• Attention to detail
• Financial acumen

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting due diligence on potential merger and acquisition targets
• Analyze the impact of new accounting standards, reporting requirements, and regulatory standards on existing and new transactions
• Research accounting issues and prepare recommendations for management and audit support papers
• Lead valuation efforts over acquired assets and liabilities
• Present information and respond to questions effectively from managers and other internal stakeholders
• Draft position papers addressing the accounting for significant transactions, including VIEs, business combinations, and several other types of transactions
• Assist in the review of new contracts to determine the appropriate accounting treatment (revenue, equity transaction, sale criteria, or other considerations)
• Complete special projects and prepare analyses for senior management requiring technical accounting research and analysis of financial information
• Ensure proper execution of key SOX controls, including coordination with internal and external auditors
