Summary

The Technical Director at Devoted CG will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the technological strategy of a new platform connecting companies with freelance talent for game asset creation. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in full stack development, leadership, and innovation, particularly with Symfony, Vue.js 3, and Node.js.

Requirements

• Proven leadership skills with experience in building and leading high-performing development teams
• Extensive experience with Symfony, Vue.js 3, and Node.js, including a deep understanding of their core concepts, best practices, and ecosystem
• Proficiency in PHP for Symfony and JavaScript for Vue and Node.js is essential
• Experience in backend API architecture and development is a significant plus
• Strong background in full stack development, covering both backend (Symfony and Node.js) and frontend (Vue.js)
• Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and secure web applications using Symfony, Node.js, and Vue.js, while following industry standards and best practices
• Experience with project management methods (like Agile and Scrum) and tools
• Strong strategic thinking ability with 7+ years of experience aligning technology initiatives with business goals
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions quickly
• Strong communication skills
• Broad vision and understanding of business objectives
• Ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives and goals
• Heading up the efforts to research and develop new products, services, and solutions that help the company stand out in the market
• Overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's technological infrastructure
• Leading and growing a skilled technology team, including software developers, engineers, data scientists, and IT experts
• Collaborating with other executives and departments to ensure that technology initiatives align with business needs and priorities
• Ensuring that the company's technology systems and data are secure from external threats and compliant with relevant regulations and industry standards
• Reviewing and managing relationships with tech vendors, partners, and service providers for the best tools and support
• Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, and advising senior management on their potential impact on the business
• Developing and managing the technology budget, allocating resources effectively to support strategic initiatives while maintaining cost efficiency
• Spotting and dealing with tech-related risks that might affect our work, reputation, or finances
