Technical Lead

Summary

The job is for a Full Stack Technical Lead at Front, a modern customer service platform. The role involves improving synchronous communications offerings and leading the Synchronous Communications engineering team.

Requirements

• Experience leading teams of senior software engineers delivering everything from product-focused features and enhancements to new products
• Industry experience building fast, reliable, real-time web-based applications
• Fluency in a dynamic language like Javascript, Python, Ruby, or similar
• Knowledgeable about modern web technologies and excited to learn new ones, e.g. Node.js ES6, TypeScript, React
• Product minded: committed to building the best user experience
• Business minded: understands the power of leveraging technology toward business outcomes
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative, and high-growth environment
• Understand the trade-offs in employing different engineering solutions to a problem, valuing pragmatism over idealism

Responsibilities

• Work closely with product managers and product designers on projects that improve Front’s synchronous communications offerings
• Coordinate on project scope, assess technical complexity and risk, coordinate dependencies with other teams, mentor more junior engineers, and maintain a high bar for technical excellence on the team
• Do substantial amount of development, requiring conceptualizing, designing, implementing, testing, and launching improvements and integrations that expand Front’s synchronous communications offerings

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS technologies
• Rigor in A/B testing, test coverage, and other web best practices
• Experience working with complex data models at scale
