Summary

Join HubSpot's Objects Group as a Tech Lead II and lead a small team in building a world-class customer data platform. You will be a player-coach, collaborating with product, design, and other tech leads to define team goals and resolve cross-team issues. Proactively take ownership of your team's on-call health, product reliability, and quality. Actively grow team members, fostering a diverse and inclusive culture. This role requires a strong senior engineer with experience leading small teams, a passion for technical challenges in machine learning and distributed systems, and a customer-centric attitude. The annual cash compensation range is $200,600-$321,000 USD.

• Have a thirst for technical challenges in machine learning and distributed systems
• Have a customer-centric attitude and developing opinions about the Hubspot product
• Have an understanding of building reliable systems in a complex architectural space

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team in building a world-class customer data platform
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and other Tech Leads to define and share relevant, compelling, and challenging goals for your team
• Work across teams with other TLs to resolve cross-team issues
• Proactively take ownership over your team’s on-call health and product reliability, and quality
• Have an interest and opinion in the direction of the product. They do not defer this over to the PM or PD, or others. Instead, they are an active member of the team’s leadership triad, co-setting the direction for the team
• Proactively look to grow the members of your team to enable them to take on harder and harder tasks
• Actively cultivate Software Engineers into Sr. Software Engineers and Sr. Software Engineers into future TLs and Staff Engineers, etc
• Evaluate the performance of your team members and provide them with the necessary coaching, guidance and learning opportunities to help them grow in their careers
• Create and foster diverse teams and an inclusive culture

Benefits
