Technical Leader - Python

Requirements

• 5+ years of Python experience with strong proficiency in backend development
• 3+ years of team leadership experience managing remote/distributed development teams
• Experience with API integrations and working with various vendor billing/usage APIs
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, particularly Lambda, S3, and data processing services
• Experience with data transformation and ETL processes
• Familiarity with cloud cost management concepts and billing structures
• Understanding of SaaS platform architecture and scalable system design
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• It must be okay with some overlap with the US East Coast time zone

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 3-4 offshore developers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and project coordination
• Build and maintain billing adapters that integrate with various vendor APIs to extract cost and usage data
• Design data pipelines to transform vendor-specific billing data into CloudZero's proprietary internal data format
• Collaborate closely with the company's Product Management and Engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Ensure code quality through best practices, testing, and documentation standards across the team
• Manage project timelines and coordinate with stakeholders on delivery milestones
• Prototype and evaluate different technical approaches for new vendor integrations
• Mentor team members and help scale their technical capabilities
• Participate in architecture decisions for the billing adapter framework

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with cost management or FinOps platforms
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other Saas Services billing APIs or data
• Background in financial data processing or billing systems
