Summary
Join VetsEZ as a remote Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. You will leverage your in-depth technical expertise to provide guidance on solutions, systems, and processes. Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions for complex technical challenges. This role demands a strong understanding of specific technical domains, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to translate technical knowledge into actionable strategies. The position requires a Bachelor's degree, 7+ years of experience (3+ as an SME), and advanced certifications. The work is fully remote within the continental US.
Requirements
- Have a Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Have 7+ years of experience in a technical role, with at least 3 years as a recognized SME in a specific domain
- Have advanced certifications in the chosen technical domain (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP, PMP)
- Have expertise in systems architecture, cloud technologies, software development, or other relevant areas
- Possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges
- Possess excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Have hands-on experience with relevant tools, platforms, and frameworks in the chosen technical domain
- Reside within the continental US
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical expert for specific domains, providing insights and solutions to meet project and client needs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand technical requirements and develop tailored solutions
- Conduct technical assessments, feasibility studies, and risk analyses to inform project decisions
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to best practices
- Develop and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and user guides
- Support system design, development, and implementation processes, offering expertise at each stage
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system performance and reliability
- Stay current on emerging technologies and trends to propose innovative solutions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience with SAFe/Agile
- Have experience with the VA or other Government agencies
- Have the ability to obtain a government clearance
