Technical Support Engineer

Summary

Join Eurofins Scientific, a global life sciences company, as a remote Application Support Specialist based anywhere in Romania. Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in application support
• Excellent verbal/written English communication skills
• Knowledge of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD
• Good knowledge of database manipulation skills (like MSSQL/T-SQL scripts/queries)
• Good knowledge of IIS troubleshooting (such as by using the event viewer logs from Windows server)
• Proven ability to work within service level agreement to solve customer issues
• Willingness to work in shifts
• Very good knowledge in SDLC and STLC process
• Experience with ITIL framework to assist in day-to-day BAU Operations
• Experience in working with cross functional teams spread across geographies
• Customer focused and goal orientated with keen attention to details
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of single sign on
• Good knowledge of RDBMS, SQL Server preferred
• Experience in debugging the apps with API / REST services
• Understanding of terraform, Observability, Error handling in Cloud setups
• Knowledge of Elastic Search - Mandatory

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support applications
• Troubleshoot application issues
• Coordinate with multiple teams to resolve issues

• Escalate and follow up on blocking issues and deviations from SOPs
• Assist in day-to-day BAU operations using the ITIL framework
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies
• Maintain a customer-focused and goal-oriented approach

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Release Management & Coordination
• Experience with leading teams
• Writing automated scripts / queries for validating applications
• Any Azure / DevOPS certification
