Summary

Epic Games is seeking an experienced Technical UI Designer for their Rocket Racing project. In this role, the candidate will work on implementing UI designs in Unreal Engine, creating layouts, working with UX and UI Art teams, and building modular widgets. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience building UI and experiences across multiple platforms, 2 years of experience working in Agile environments, 1+ years of experience shipping updates and new features to a user base, engine experience, logical problem-solving skills, excellent written and communication skills, scripting or visual scripting experience, and experience setting best practices.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building UI and experiences across multiple platforms (mobile, web, pc, consoles)
• 2+ years of experience working in Agile environments and on multi-disciplinary teams
• 1+ years of experience shipping updates and new features to a user base on a regular cadence
• Engine experience (Custom engine, Unity, UE5, Lumberyard, Snowdrop, etc.)
• Logical problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Scripting or visual scripting experience
• Experience in setting/keeping things to best practices and reducing tech debt as needed

Responsibilities

• Implement UI designs in Unreal Engine
• Create layouts from provided wireframes
• Work with UX & UI Art to identify needs and communicate technical requirements
• Build in modularity to widgets for rapid prototyping
