Summary

Join OmniOn Power as a Telecommunications Installer (Level IV) and work remotely with occasional overnight travel to customer sites. This role focuses on circuit modifications, power transitions, and equipment testing within electrical infrastructures. The position requires a minimum of six years of DC power equipment installation experience and a valid driver's license. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and prior field engineering experience. This is a 100% remote role with potential travel outside the primary geographic region. The preferred location is Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, or West Virginia.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of six (6) years of experience in DC power equipment installation
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook / Excel / Word
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 100%
  • Willingness to work different shifts (swing shifts)
  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs
  • Ability to operate motorized lift equipment to maneuver, install or remove 80-750 lb. batteries
  • Frequently pushing or pulling of cables up to 60 lbs
  • Frequently climbing ladders up to 8 ft
  • Frequently working/standing on ladders for long periods of time
  • Continuous standing
  • Frequently reaching above, below or at shoulder level
  • Frequently bending, twisting, or stooping
  • Frequently crouching or squatting
  • Be exposed to varying environments with moderate noise levels, nominal variations in heat and cold

Responsibilities

  • Work on circuit modifications
  • Perform power transition operations
  • Add and remove circuits on working power distribution sources
  • Test and turn-up power system equipment
  • Oversee volatile work activities
  • Perform Site Supervisors responsibilities on a job site
  • Troubleshoot based on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, complete tasks, and solve key customer issues in a timely manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Prior field engineering experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Electrical degree, certificate, or apprenticeship
  • AC Electrical experience
