Summary

Join Mantra Health, a revolutionary student mental health care provider, as a PRN remote Behavioral Health Provider. You will provide direct services to students via Mantra’s ConnectNow crisis/support line, utilizing active listening and solution-focused approaches. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, de-escalating crises, developing safety plans, and making referrals. This role requires a master's degree in a related field, 1+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency in crisis intervention. Requirements

  • Possess a master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field
  • Have 1+ years of experience in telehealth, crisis management, or a call center environment
  • Have training and experience in assessment, crisis intervention, and treatment planning
  • Able to learn, maintain, and demonstrate mastery of clinical policies, call handling, and operational protocols
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and maturity
  • Capable of exercising excellent independent judgment with minimal direct supervision
  • Eager for professional and personal growth opportunities
  • Flexible schedule with openness to work a non-traditional schedule, which may include evenings and/or weekends

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Telehealth Crisis Shift Leader
  • Provide warm, empathetic responses to incoming calls from students needing support or who may be in crisis
  • Complete risk assessments and de-escalate crisis intensity to prevent self-harm or harm to others
  • Collaborate with students to develop a plan for safety and recommend next steps
  • Support students seeking ongoing care via external referrals, referrals to Mantra Care or available campus resources
  • Initiate follow-up calls to check on client welfare and encourage service linkage
  • Maintain clinical documentation, ensuring detailed and accurate logging of user sessions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hold an independent, unrestricted licensure to practice counseling and/or psychotherapy ( state equivalent of LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist etc. )
  • 2+ years of experience practicing mental health counseling and psychotherapy
  • Ability and interest in picking up extra shifts as needed to cover team member’s PTO
