Summary
Join ULTRA MOBILE's TechOps Team as a Telephony Reliability Engineer II! This remote role, open to US residents, involves leading support initiatives for telecommunications networks and systems. You will develop program management plans, ensure the company's telecommunications priorities align with industry developments, and support voice calling for internal and partner brands. Responsibilities include SIP integrations, reporting, troubleshooting, network optimization, cost optimization, and 24/7 on-call support. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in VoIP, Linux administration, open-source telecom software, network administration, VoIP QoS analytics, AWS, database management, and API calls.
Requirements
- Expertise with VoIP best practices and telecom technologies
- General Linux administration experience
- Open-source software telecom experience with Kamailio, Asterisk, or Freeswitch
- A solid understanding of Network Administration and tools
- Experience with VoIP QoS Analytics and Reporting
- AWS cloud administration experience
- Knowledge of security and risk management best practices
- General relational database management; MSSQL, MySQL
- High-level understanding of API calls and systems
Responsibilities
- Lead support initiatives of telecommunications networks and systems
- Develop program management plans consisting of short and long-range planning
- Ensure the Company’s telecommunications priorities are responsive to industry developments and continue to maximize value over time, capturing new opportunities as they emerge
- Support voice calling from internal MVNO products
- Support partner brands under aggregator business
- SIP integrations with partner brands endpoints
- Domestic and ILD usage reporting
- Coordinating support of, and hands-on troubleshooting, voice-related issues
- Voice network architecture, optimization, documentation, and planning
- Cost optimization and financial reporting
- Telephony systems support, design, and implementation
- Provide 24/7 on-call support according to needs of the business on a rotating schedule, meeting all SLAs
- Create and complete quarterly personal and team goals and or projects in a timely manner
