Summary
Join Arc’teryx as a Territory Manager in the US West, leading efforts to enhance the brand experience in specialty retail. You will collaborate with top outdoor retailers in California, Arizona, and Nevada, translating seasonal strategies into effective sell-in and marketing plans. Responsibilities include training retail staff, connecting community members through events, managing order books, and leveraging data for improved forecasting. This role involves significant travel (40%) within the territory and offers opportunities for innovation and growth. The position is remote-friendly within California and operates on PST time.
Requirements
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field
- Have 5+ years of sales experience in outdoor sales or related industry; ideally selling apparel and footwear
- Have a strong ability to build relationships, sell, influence, and negotiate
- Have strong presentation and communication skills
- Have excellent organizational skills, analytical ability, and a track record of strategic planning
- Be optimistic about the future and what can be achieved, and listen to others’ needs
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Have the ability to work well independently, and in a team
- Be proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- Remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- Effectively balance autonomy and collaboration

Responsibilities
- Work closely with the best specialty retail partners in California, Arizona, Nevada
- Translate the seasonal strategy to sell-in and marketing plans to secure pre-orders and a commitment from our specialty base to bring future seasons to life on the retail floor with accompanying sell-through plans
- Sell into new channels with our freshly launched in-house footwear
- Train retail staff on our brand promise, seasonal vision, and product specifics so they can spread the Arc’teryx stoke and drive full price sell through with delighted guests
- Connect members of the Arc’teryx community – Brand Stores, Ambassadors, Regional Staff, National Account shop pros - in your territory through events and activations that build brand awareness and excitement
- Manage your orderbook to ensure best possible fulfillment, satisfied partners, and in-season sales opportunities
- Use experience and data to strengthen forecasts, planning, and product feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Lead the US West region with an emphasis on strategic account management while delivering the Arc’teryx wholesale vision
- Travel your territory to sell, stoke, and educate on the Arc’teryx brand and its offering (40% of your time will be travelling within your territory)
- Prototype new retail formats in partnership with our specialty retailers that elevate the brand experience, build awareness, and increase sales
- Work closely with the Community Marketing team to identify new guests to bring to the brand
- Build and execute your vision for the North Rockies territory and evolving the status quo at Arc’teryx
- Develop strengths in your role cross functionally that you are passionate about with high opportunity for growth
