Summary

The job is for a Territory Sales Representative in the Eastern U.S., responsible for developing relationships with retailers and brokers in the Convenience store channel. The role requires at least 1+ years of experience in a sales or analytical role within the CPG industry, experience with syndicated data such as IRI and/or Nielsen, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 40% of the time. The position is remote and based in the Chicago metro area.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a sales, business development, or analytical roles within the CPG, Consumer Packaged Goods industry or corporate retail industry
  • Experience with syndicated data such as IRI and/or Nielsen
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Marketing or related field
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time with overnight stays

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to a Sr. Business Development Manager for the Convenience stores retail channel
  • Work with assigned brokers, wholesalers, and regional retailers to develop business
  • Assist with providing accurate and timely sales forecasts
  • Analyze and review sales data including syndicated data such as IRI and /or Nielsen
  • Conduct regular business reviews and sales visits, both in-person and by video, to broker offices and regional or national convenience store chain retail headquarters throughout the Midwest and Eastern U.S
  • Attend tradeshows and industry events
  • Perform routine retail checks, visiting assigned Convenience store locations throughout the Midwest and Eastern half of the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient to advanced skills in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience in FMCG, Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry
  • Prior experience in candy, confectionery, or snack industry
