Test Automation Engineer

Summary

Join 540 as a Test Automation Engineer for a 6-month contract role on our USCIS project. You will support the software development team by ensuring code quality and optimal user experience through functional testing. A key responsibility is creating and maintaining automated tests to quickly identify regressions and troubleshoot issues. This remote position requires US Citizenship and an active DHS Public Trust clearance. The role demands significant experience in testing, Javascript, Java, and test automation. The project focuses on user-centered design, development, security, operations, and data science for USCIS systems.

Requirements

• 6+ years of testing experience
• 2+ year of Javascript experience
• 2+ years of Java experience
• 2+ years of testing automation experience
• Experience using GitHub or similar platform
• Experience testing REST APIs using Insomnia or similar tool
• Experience testing large-scale applications
• Ability to define, create, and execute end-to-end tests
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DHS Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Cypress experience
• Accessibility testing experience using Deque Axe or other tools
• Section 508 compliance experience/DHS Trusted Tester credential
• Ability to write basic SQL queries
• Experience developing integration tests using Rest Assured
• Experience writing performance or load tests using JMeter
