Test Engineer

Summary

Join Nearform as a Senior Test Engineer (Python) and work remotely from Romania on a variety of interesting open-source projects. You will be responsible for developing and executing automated test suites, conducting manual testing, and ensuring product quality. Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing throughout the development process, from backlog refinement to delivery. The ideal candidate possesses strong Python skills, experience with Pytest, and expertise in building and improving automated test frameworks. Requirements

• Located in Romania
• Occasional ability to be flexible with working hours when required
• Fluent English & superb communication skills (written and oral)
• Strong proficiency in writing test scripts and working within existing test frameworks
• Experience with Pytest
• Experience extending and improving automated test frameworks
• Hands-on experience writing test scripts for various types of testing
• Experience working with cross functional teams developing tests with focus on delivering quality agile products
• Experience with working with highly scalable, maintainable code
• Experience of Agile working environments and working within a collaborative team
• Solid understanding of how to translate product requirements into testable technical solutions
• Experience in building and improving automated test frameworks
• Experience in integrating automated tests/test process into CI pipelines
• Experience in influencing change in the test process within an agile team

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated test suites
• Conduct manual testing to ensure product quality
• Work within our Development Teams to ensure that testing is considered at all levels of development
• Be brought into conversations early, at a backlog refinement level, to ensure that there is a clear understanding of testing throughout the development process
• Stay up to date on emerging technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with containerized environments
• Exposure to ML models, data pipelines, or AI-driven applications
