Requirements

  • Requires 4 years of specialized and/or military experience
  • Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
  • Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)
  • Ability to analyze test results and identify root causes of defects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Participate in test planning and design activities
  • Review and analyze schematics, and technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications. Must be able to review, analyze, and interpret stakeholders needs
  • Execute test plans and test cases to evaluate software functionality, performance, and interoperability
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug tracking system
  • Collaborate with developers, system engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve software quality
  • Analyze test results and provide clear and concise reports
  • Adhere to established testing standards and procedures
  • Maintain a strong understanding of software development methodologies and testing best practices
  • Learn and adapt to new technologies and testing tools
  • Proactively seek out opportunities to improve testing processes and efficiency
  • Work under general supervision, with latitude for independent judgment
