Summary

Join our team as a Zarma Transcriber and contribute to research for talk-to-text technology by transcribing audio files, following project guidelines, meeting deadlines, making consistent progress, communicating with project managers, and possessing native-level proficiency in the Zarma language.

Requirements

• Full proficiency in the Zarma language, also known as Djerma. (ISO: dje)
• Native-level (C2) proficiency in Zarma including the ability to read and write
• Excellent grammar/ orthography and punctuation in Zarma. You will be required to take a test
• Have an Upwork profile, or be willing to create an Upwork profile
• High-speed internet access
• Access to e-mail

Responsibilities

• Transcribe all assigned audio files
• Follow project guidelines
• Meet project deadlines
• Make consistent progress on assigned audio files
• Communicate with project managers in a timely and effective manner
• Communicate in English with project managers via email (verbal communication is not required)
