Translator

Summary

Join Testronic Translation Department as an English-to-Japanese translator for video games, game updates, and marketing materials. You will translate full game titles (sometimes collaboratively) and ensure high-quality translations through proofreading and editing. Native or near-native fluency in Japanese and English is required, along with at least six months of translation experience. Freelance registration and invoicing capabilities are essential. This is a remote, independent, project-based freelance position offering competitive rates and a friendly work environment. Experience in the gaming or filming industry is beneficial. The team operates within the CET timezone.

Requirements

• Be a Native speaker or native related of Japanese who is also a language enthusiast, passionate about linguistic and cultural nuances
• Have fluent knowledge of English
• Have minimum 6 months of translation experience
• Have Freelance registration and ability to provide invoices

Responsibilities

• Translate video games, both full-titles (sometimes shared with other translators) and game updates
• Translate marketing texts and materials from our clients
• Proofread and edit other translators’ work to ensure the text is of the best quality

Preferred Qualifications

Have Translation experience in the gaming/filming industry
