Translation Intern

Summary

Join Reapra, a people-centric business builder, as a Translation Intern (Japanese-English)! This internship facilitates internal communication between Japanese and English-speaking team members. You will participate in monthly corporate meetings, translate documents (presentations, minutes, announcements), provide real-time translation, and proofread translations. The ideal candidate possesses strong oral and written fluency in Japanese and English, thrives in remote work, and is available for at least two months. Prior experience is not required; openness to learning, independence, effective communication, and self-awareness are valued.

Requirements

• Strong oral and written fluency in Japanese and English
• Available to spend a minimum of 2 months (whether part time or full time) with us

Responsibilities

• Participate in Reapra’s monthly corporate meeting and transcribe meeting material in accordance with the language that is being used
• Translate Reapra’s monthly corporate meeting documents (e.g. presentation slides, meeting minutes, meeting-related announcements) from Japanese to English and vice versa
• Provide real time translation from Japanese to English and vice versa, where needed
• Proofread and edit translations for accuracy, grammar and consistency

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in Chinese
• Thrive in a remote work environment
