Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced Trust and Safety or content moderation team, handling a high volume of content
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort in handling highly sensitive, potentially offensive, shocking, or extreme content in alignment with Substack’s approach to content moderation
• Independent and proactive, with the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• A collaborative spirit, capable of engaging persuasively with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Believe in Substack’s mission to build a better business model for writing

Responsibilities

• Provide content moderation and critical response coverage for time-sensitive issues
• Investigate complex, time-sensitive safety issues in collaboration with engineering
• Offer specialized safety support for top Substackers
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that enhance platform safety
