Tutor

Summary

Join ClassDojo as an independent tutor and make a difference in students' lives. Tutor pre-K through 9th-grade students online in math and/or reading via engaging 1:1 Zoom sessions. This part-time, remote role offers flexibility to set your own hours, with a minimum of 5 hours per week. You'll receive $30/hour ($15 per 25-minute session). ClassDojo handles scheduling, payments, and administrative tasks, allowing you to focus on teaching and building rapport with students and families. Help students build confidence and a love for learning, and assist parents with subscriptions. Continuously improve your tutoring skills through feedback and opportunities for growth.

Requirements

• Experience teaching or tutoring in the US in math and/or reading
• A passion for working 1:1 with students and personalizing instruction to meet their needs
• Strong communication skills and an ability to build rapport with students and families
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free space for remote tutoring sessions
• This is a part-time independent contractor position

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging, personalized math and/or reading tutoring sessions for pre-K-through-9th-grade students online via Zoom
• Help students build confidence and develop a love for learning
• Assist new parents in booking a subscription at the end of their class
• Provide feedback on student progress
• Embrace feedback from clients and participate in opportunities to continually improve as a tutor
