UI Designer

Summary

Join HICX, a leading provider of enterprise SaaS solutions, as a UI Designer and contribute to the design and development of our Supplier Management platform. You will be responsible for translating wireframes into high-fidelity designs, building interactive prototypes, and collaborating with developers to ensure visual fidelity. The ideal candidate possesses strong visual design skills, proficiency in Figma (or similar tools), and experience with responsive design principles. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1–3 years of UI design experience are required. Requirements

• Strong visual design skills in layout, colour theory, typography, and iconography
• Ability to evaluate and adopt new AI-driven design technologies
• Proficient with modern design tools (Figma preferred; Sketch, Adobe XD also acceptable
• Understanding of responsive design principles and UI best practices
• Awareness of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design practices
• Basic familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a plus)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across remote teams
• Passionate about great design and continuously improving the user experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 1–3 years of experience in UI or visual design, preferably for web-based SaaS or enterprise products
• Portfolio of UI work that demonstrates a strong eye for visual detail, consistency, and clarity (please include link)
• Comfortable working in a fully remote, cross-time-zone team (US, Europe)

Responsibilities

• Understand business and technical requirements provided by product and UX teams
• Participate in design reviews and provide UI insights to support usability goals
• Translate wireframes and low-fidelity mockups into polished, high-fidelity visual designs
• Build interactive prototypes using tools like Figma
• Maintain and contribute to our design system to ensure consistency across products
• Revise designs based on feedback from internal reviews and user testing
• Assist with visual QA and design handoff to development teams
• Prepare specifications, redlines, and design assets for development
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure visual fidelity and accessibility standards
• Stay up to date with the latest UI trends and design technologies, particularly with AI
• Participate in team critiques, workshops, and skill-sharing sessions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to a design system or reusable component library
• Exposure to motion design or micro-interaction tools (e.g., After Effects, Lottie)
• Familiarity with prototyping tools and handoff tools (e.g., Zeplin, Storybook)
• Experience working with Agile teams and tools like Jira or Linear
• Comfortable creating brief UI walkthroughs or product GIFs/videos for marketing or release documentation
