UI Designer

Summary

Join Sidetrade, a rapidly growing European Fintech company, and become a key member of the User Experience team. You will play a vital role in shaping the future of our flagship SaaS product by working within a structured Design System framework. Collaborate with designers, product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to implement and maintain UI components, patterns, and style guides. Contribute to the evolution of the Design System, create wireframes and prototypes, and participate in design critiques. This role requires a strong portfolio showcasing design projects utilizing a design system, proficiency in Figma, and excellent communication skills. Requirements

• Strong portfolio showcasing design projects, with a focus that ideally demonstrates utilisation of a design system
• Basic understanding of UX/UI principles and proficiency in Figma
• Eagerness to learn and ability to apply Design System principles to new and existing projects
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• A passion for staying informed about industry trends and emerging technologies
• Experience in an environment where analysis, critical thinking, usability tests, and information architecture are commonplace. You will be expected to organise autonomously complex information and translate it into wireframes

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with other designers to implement and adhere to our Design System guidelines
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of UI components, patterns, and style guides within the Design System
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent application of the Design System across various projects
• Contribute to the evolution and improvement of the Design System based on user feedback and industry best practices
• Create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes that align with the established Design System
• Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement
• Manage and deliver design projects from end-to-end

Preferred Qualifications

• A pixel-perfect geek that’s happy solving functionality problems, we’re not looking for just a creative thinker
• Experience working with version control systems for design files
• Knowledge of front-end development technologies
• Experience in Figma
