UI/UX Designer

Join Faria as a Product Designer (UX/UI) and contribute to impactful digital experiences in the EdTech industry. Collaborate with the Design Lead and front-end team, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders. You will audit and develop design system components, ensuring alignment with existing elements and templates. Design components for web and mobile applications across various resolutions. Requirements

• Proven experience in a UX/UI design role, with a robust portfolio showcasing web and mobile applications
• Expertise in Figma for design and prototyping and FigJam for collaborative planning rituals
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to share design decisions clearly and foster collaboration
• Hands-on experience working with engineers to refine design scope and support efficient implementation
• Advocating for a customer-first approach, influencing design direction, and iterating based on data and user feedback
• You are user-focused, passionate about creating user-centered, intuitive designs that solve real-world problems, and have great design aesthetics and skills
• Your designs stand out in that they elegantly solve customer problems
• You are skilled in building design systems: You see the big picture and can build not just the UX/UX element in front of you, but build towards a design system that can scale across the product
• You are a good communicator
• You are comfortable working cross-functionally, translating design ideas into clear, actionable concepts for product, engineering, and business stakeholders
• You have experience designing, shipping, and iterating on real-world products
• You bring at least 5 years of UX design experience, ideally in a tech company
• You are looking to grow and take on greater responsibilities
• You see yourself increasing your scope and impact as you successfully deliver outcomes for our customers and the business

Responsibilities

• Audit and redefine design systems together with a design team
• Develop components for web and mobile platforms, contributing to and expanding a cohesive design system – we use Figma & FigJam
• Present and iterate on design systems with stakeholders, integrating feedback while maintaining alignment with goals
• Work closely with engineers to refine design systems scope and produce clear implementation documentation
• Be an essential part of the design team and help establish design culture across the organization
• Integrate design systems components to Storybook while working closely with engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• Educational Tech SaaS product experience
• Experience in making mockups with HTML/CSS/Bootstrap
• Experience with Storybook
