Summary

Join Coalition, a leading Active Insurance provider, and contribute to the expansion of our cybersecurity and technology risk insurance offerings in the French market. As an expert underwriting manager, you will conduct risk analyses, manage relationships with brokers, define underwriting conditions, and participate in business development meetings. You will also create and maintain processes, actively participate in defining our approach to emerging threats, and collaborate with security engineers. This role requires 2-5 years of experience in underwriting cybersecurity and technology E&O liability, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle technical concepts. The position is based in metropolitan France and offers full-time remote work with a permanent contract.

Requirements

  • You have approximately 2 to 5 years of prior experience in underwriting cybersecurity and technology E&O (Errors and Omissions) liability
  • You have solid experience managing a significant volume of underwriting files
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and see yourself growing in a rapidly developing company
  • You are comfortable working in a virtual, dynamic, and fast-paced environment
  • You possess strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
  • You have the ability to learn and handle technical concepts/terms in the field of insurance and on topics related to cyber risks
  • You have a good command of English to communicate easily with the company's international collaborators

Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk analyses to determine the insurability of the applicant, from a technical and regulatory standpoint
  • Study insurance applications, gather necessary information from applicants
  • Develop and manage relationships with insurance brokers to negotiate rates, guarantees, and other terms to ensure the profitable development of the portfolio
  • Serve as a specialist for the team by defining and negotiating underwriting conditions (pricing, deductibles, etc.), and draft contracts, riders, and specific coverage conditions on coverage issues and the drafting of riders
  • Participate in in-person meetings with business development staff and brokers as needed
  • Create new processes and maintain current processes for renewals to meet our customer service standards
  • Actively participate in defining our approach to emerging threats by conducting studies or research on risk prevention and other cyber and technology trends
  • Closely monitor cyber and technology markets as well as industry trends
  • Identify and communicate internally on areas where our unique capabilities give us a competitive advantage and develop processes that support them
  • Collaborate with security engineers to review cyber and tech E&O (Errors and Omissions) accounts to assess risks
