Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in user research, product development, product insights, or another research-focused role at a software technology company
  • 1+ years of experience in managing and mentoring junior researchers
  • You have independently led the strategy and execution of impactful user research projects
  • You possess a proven ability to influence and build relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional partners

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead User Research strategy at the Browser Company
  • Lead a team of researchers as the UXR function at BCNY grows
  • Collaborate closely with product design, engineering, and leadership to address the company’s biggest open questions
  • Design and conduct user research studies to address large open questions and hypotheses
  • Communicate research findings effectively across the organization to guide product development and design decisions
  • Set up easy and sustainable systems for product teams to spin up their own User Research
  • Understand Browser Company operations, our members' needs, and interaction methods after 1 month
  • Connect with key stakeholders in product, design, and engineering teams after 1 month
  • Begin engaging with member feedback and planning your first research initiatives after 1 month
  • Collaborate with product teams on hypotheses for exploratory features after 2 months
  • Develop processes for early research inclusion in product development after 2 months
  • Lead user research projects and transform insights into product improvements after 2 months
  • Start influencing product roadmaps with research-backed insights after 2 months
  • Lead user research for major feature releases, ensuring user needs guide development after 3 months
  • Establish regular user research and feedback within product teams after 3 months
  • Start developing a long-term user research vision and strategy for future team growth after 3 months
  • Prepare for leadership responsibilities, including managing a growing team of researchers
