Ux Writer, Content Designer

Summary

Join Goodnotes' Design team as a Content Designer/UX Writer and contribute to the creation of a seamless user experience for our digital paper and learning ecosystem. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and researchers to craft clear, concise, and engaging content for our cross-platform products. You will create design solutions, write user-facing copy, develop content strategies, and manage multiple projects. The role requires around 5 years of experience in content design or UX writing, preferably in software design, and a strong understanding of content strategy and user experience principles. Remote work from select countries is possible with a minimum of 4 hours overlap with the team. Goodnotes values learning and development and will support your growth.

Requirements

• Around 5 years of content design or UX writing experience, preferably in software design
• Experience working on cross-platform (iOS, Android, desktop) products
• Experience working on products that appear in different markets, cultures, and languages
• Sharp, clear, and concise writing with the ability to adapt style and tone to different contexts
• Skills in refining and updating content design guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
• Competence in developing and implementing content strategies that are aligned with business objectives and user needs
• Capability to conduct thorough content design audits to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement
• Knowledge of best practices for accessibility, ensuring that our product is usable by everyone
• Experience in ideating and iterating on user journeys and design systems
• Ability to work independently and proactively
• Be proficient in incorporating ongoing feedback into design refinements
• Experience working with designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to ensure that design solutions are effectively translated into the design process
• Ability to consider existing insights, technical limitations, business requirements, and platform-specific needs to create solutions

• Create design solutions to solve user problems, enhance the user experience, and achieve business goals
• Write user-facing copy that helps people understand our features and get the most out of Goodnotes
• Help us come up with new names and terms for products and tools
• Refine and update content design guidelines
• Develop and implement content strategies that align with business goals and user needs
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently, often with varying scopes and timelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in designing productivity, learning, or education experiences
• Experience in designing for collaboration solutions and tools
• Experience in user testing and continuous iteration
• Familiarity with multiple languages
