Summary
Join ERG as a highly skilled UX/UI Designer to contribute to product development from initial design spark to final implementation touches.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in design, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work
- Experience in supporting agile development projects desirable
- Strong working experience with graphic design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Sketch, etc
- Proven experience in developing user research plans and conducting user interviews
- Proficiency in graphic design, with an eye for visual composition and attention to detail
- Strong coding skills, with experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with front-end frameworks
- Experience participating in user design workshops or workgroups
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) and 508 accessibility requirements
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Conduct user interviews to gather feedback and inform design decisions
- Design and implement intuitive and engaging user interfaces for web and mobile applications
- Embrace human-centered design principles to develop comprehensive user research plans, interview protocols and question guides
- Translate user stories and business requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and user flows
- Create high-fidelity prototypes and wireframes using industry-standard tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify user needs and translate them into design solutions
- Conduct user research and usability testing to refine design concepts
- Ensure all designs meet U.S. Web Design Standards and are 508-accessibility compliant
- Develop and maintain design documentation, including style guides and user flows
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in UX/UI design and web standards
