Summary

EVG Specialty Network is seeking a Strategic Marketing Specialist to lead marketing activities for their specialty and emergency veterinary hospitals. The role involves developing growth marketing plans, managing social media, website, and event coordination, conducting market research, and more. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience, 2+ years of marketing experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media and email tools, Canva and WordPress, and occasional travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • Specialty animal healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of marketing experience, including demonstrated experience creating and implementing comprehensive strategic marketing plans that mix traditional and digital marketing tactics
  • Experience managing multiple social media channels – content posting, channel management, content strategy, paid/organic posting, responding to reviews, and tracking reach and engagement
  • Understanding of key marketing analytics and demonstrated experience drawing insights from analytics
  • Ability to work in a matrixed structure with strong communication skills, with the ability to prioritize projects between hospitals as needed
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including strong copywriting and grammar skills and comfort with client and partner presentations

Responsibilities

  • Lead the marketing activities for 2-3 assigned specialty and emergency hospitals within the network
  • Develop growth marketing plans that include driving awareness of services, new site and site expansion marketing, digital marketing, reputation management, and social media
  • Partner with EVG internal support teams and hospital leadership to understand business objectives and create multi-channel marketing plans that will contribute to the achievement of those objectives
  • Referral Strategy: Develop and implement marketing programs and activities to drive referrals from local veterinarians, increase consideration and awareness of hospitals, and educate referring veterinarians and clients about services offered
  • Hospital Liaison: Serve as the primary marketing point of contact for assigned hospitals and respond to needs for marketing support
  • Content Creation & Asset Management: Develop and maintain marketing materials and content including but not limited to digital ads, brochures, merchandise, flyers and other collateral, content calendars, social media, email, websites, etc
  • Social Media Management & Reputation Strategy: Manage assigned hospital social properties including partnering to curate content, optimize paid and organic posts, and work with hospital leadership to monitor and support reputation management
  • Website Management: Collaborate with our digital partner to ensure hospital websites remain optimized to evolving priorities and expanding services
  • Event Coordination: Assist in organizing and promoting Continuing Education and other promotional activities
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct research to identify trends, target audiences, and competitive insights to inform marketing strategies. Analyze performance across marketing channels and monitor competition
  • Manage marketing budget and spending for all hospitals in the portfolio

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient in Microsoft Office, social media and email tools, Canva and WordPress

Benefits

  • $65,000 - $75,000 a year
  • This is a remote position with occasional travel for Network team-building, hospital events, and/or industry conferences
