Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in motion design or animation (agency or in-house)
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Experience with animation platforms like Blender, Cinema 4D, or Maya (for 3D roles)
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, timing, and visual composition
  • Demonstrated ability to animate from storyboard to final render
  • A robust portfolio showcasing a variety of motion graphics and animation projects
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Responsibilities

  • Design, animate, and edit 2D/3D video content including explainer videos, branded shorts, social media animations, motion graphics, and product demos
  • Collaborate with creative directors, designers, copywriters, and producers to storyboard, concept, and finalize animations
  • Create character animations, typography treatments, transitions, and visual effects using industry-standard software
  • Incorporate feedback from internal teams or clients to refine and enhance animation deliverables
  • Manage project timelines and deliver high-quality content on tight deadlines
  • Stay current on animation trends, tools, and best practices to continuously innovate creative output
  • Maintain consistency in branding, tone, and storytelling across all video content

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of sound design and audio syncing
  • Experience in character rigging and lip-sync animation
  • Familiarity with Figma, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
  • Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., expressions in After Effects)
  • Experience creating assets for web animation (Lottie, SVG, etc.)

Benefits

For this Product Designer role the compensation range is $2,500 - $3,000 USD gross per month as a contractor
