Summary
Join LayerZero, a leading omnichain company, as a part-time Video Editor contractor. This long-term role offers remote or in-office flexibility in Vancouver. You will be responsible for producing high-quality video content, including podcasts, educational series, and social media campaigns. Collaboration with internal and external teams is crucial to maintain brand consistency and achieve strategic goals. The ideal candidate possesses proven video editing experience, proficiency in industry-standard software, and strong knowledge of video production workflows. Requirements
- Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a portfolio showcasing diverse content types
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
- Strong knowledge of video production workflows, from preproduction to postproduction
- Experience with sound design, color grading, and motion graphics
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams and manage feedback loops
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with optimizing content for social media platforms
Responsibilities
- Edit and produce engaging video content, including video podcasts, educational series, product launch videos, and social media teasers
- Create cohesive campaigns by optimizing videos for various social media platforms, including teasers, quotes, and viral-style content
- Collaborate with the communications team to maintain brand consistency across all video projects
- Work closely with the creative and communications teams to finalize video concepts and scripts
- Participate in planning sessions to ensure clear objectives and deliverables for each production
- Assist in preparing office spaces or other locations for shooting, ensuring setups are optimized for audio and video quality (if located in Vancouver)
- Collaborate with external partners during setup and shooting to optimize camera placement, lighting, and sound quality if needed
- Help with the technical execution of video shoots, troubleshooting issues as needed
- Manage the postproduction process, including: Cutting, grading, and color correcting footage
- Syncing and mixing audio
- Adding graphics, animations, and branding elements
- Maintain organized file management systems for raw footage and final assets
- Share visual and conceptual references with stakeholders to align expectations
- Provide guidance on enhancing production workflows and optimizing video quality
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with podcast editing (both audio and video formats)
- Knowledge of live-streaming setups and techniques
- Background in educational or corporate content production
