Video Editor

Summary

The job is for a Video Editor who will organize and edit video footage, work with audio and visual elements, and use computer software to create cohesive output for clients. The position requires at least 1 year of experience as a Video Editor, proficiency with various editing software, and the ability to work from home with specific technical requirements.

Requirements

• At Least 1 year Experience as a Video Editor
• Proficient with 2D/3D effects
• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
• A dedicated secluded working space away from noise and any distractions
• Updated personal computer or laptop with webcam
• Stable internet connection of at least 5Mbps and a backup of a pocket WiFi or Mobile Data

Responsibilities

• Assembling raw footage and transferring or uploading to a computer
• Following a script, screenplay or outline
• Inputting sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and writing voice-overs
• Digitally splicing film and video and synchronizing them into one rough cut file
• Improving and correcting lighting, coloring and faulty footage

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in specific areas or types of video production may be beneficial but is not mandatory
