Join MedCore Solutions as a US Healthcare - Virtual Medical Assistant specializing in Endocrinology (thyroid cancer). Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a virtual healthcare format
- Strong understanding of endocrinology procedures and terminology
- Proficient in managing electronic medical records and patient databases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational habits
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
- Experience with appointment scheduling and patient management software
- Well-versed in Endocrinology practice is a MUST
- Must have experience in NEXTGEN EHR
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret medical charts to provide support for referral coordination and patient care documentation
- Upload and manage referrals in the system, ensuring accuracy and completeness using document management tools
- Collaborate with the referral coordinator to track, manage, and optimize the referral workflow
- Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMRs), ensuring patient data is accurate, organized, and secure
- Handle telehealth scheduling and ensure patients are prepared for virtual appointments
- Call and communicate directly with patients to provide updates, clarify information, and address concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
- Educate patients on referral processes, follow-up care, and general information about their healthcare journey
- Address patient inquiries through phone, email, or virtual platforms, ensuring timely and accurate responses
- Support the healthcare team by organizing and managing digital records, schedules, and communication flows
- Assist with project coordination, such as tracking referral outcomes, compiling reports, or managing data for operational efficiency
- Prepare virtual documentation for appointments, ensuring providers have all necessary information at their fingertips
- Provide virtual administrative support for document preparation, filing, and tracking tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Immediate availability or availability within 2 weeks is preferred
- Amenable to work in a graveyard shift
