Virtual Psychotherapist

Summary

Join the Re-entry and Sanctions Center (RSC) as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Provide psychotherapy services to high-risk offenders using evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to reduce recidivism and improve emotional and psychological well-being.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from a CSWE-accredited program in clinical social work
• Full, unrestricted license to practice clinical social work in the District of Columbia or a U.S. state
• Minimum of three years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, preferably in a forensic or correctional setting

Responsibilities

• Facilitate virtual/onsite group and individual psychotherapy sessions for high-risk offenders
• Develop and implement evidence-based cognitive behavioral interventions
• Conduct group therapy sessions with clearly defined goals, focusing on topics such as trauma, substance abuse, grief, and mental illness
• Document progress notes in the RSC SMART case management system
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all therapy sessions

Preferred Qualifications

Strong background in conducting cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and working with high-risk populations
