Virtual Support Nurse

Summary

Join Spectrum Health Care as a Virtual Nurse (RN/RPN) and make a real difference in patients' lives by providing virtual support to help them thrive at home. This hybrid role involves working in our Mississauga office, remotely, and visiting patients' homes. You will provide 24/7 clinical virtual support, assessing needs, triaging, and coordinating in-person care when necessary. You'll use your nursing skills to support clients and care partners with symptom management, navigation, and education. Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Ability to work in our Mississauga office and remotely
• Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive clinical assessments virtually and make independent decisions

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 clinical virtual support on a scheduled rotation
• Provide remote assessment and virtually triage support for home care clients
• Assess patients' needs and determine the appropriate next steps
• Coordinate the necessary follow-up support for direct clinical care when in-person care is required
• Support the client and care partners with symptom management, navigation and education

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a community, medical surgical departments, emergency department, or triage setting
