Virtualization Engineer

Summary

Join our team as an IT professional to administer our virtual infrastructure. You will be responsible for projects involving server and storage virtualization, high availability, business continuity, disaster recovery, and security. A key responsibility is supporting a migration from VMware to a Nutanix environment using containers (Kubernetes). The ideal candidate will have experience migrating from VMware and skills in various virtualization technologies. A bachelor's degree is preferred, along with relevant enterprise experience in data center hardware and virtualization. The position is onsite in NYC.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in an enterprise environment with data center hardware and virtualization with VMware and above tools
• Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

• Administer the virtual infrastructure
• Support a migration from VMware to a Nutanix environment using containers (Kubernetes)
• Work on projects involving server and storage virtualization, high availability, business continuity, disaster recovery and security
• Patch and Vulnerability Management
• System and Software Deployment
