Summary

Join VetsEZ as a Systems Engineer / VistA Developer to support a government IT contract. This role involves configuring and maintaining VistA systems, installing patches, managing user accounts, and providing user support. You will collaborate with other engineers within a SAFe/Agile framework. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in a related field. Hands-on VistA system experience and strong communication skills are essential. A government security clearance is needed (existing clearance is a plus). Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of experience
  • Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or VistA Developer supporting government IT environments
  • Hands-on experience configuring and patching VistA systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage user accounts and provide user support
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to interface effectively with users and technical teams
  • Working knowledge of SAFe/Agile methodologies
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (existing clearance is a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Configure, customize, and maintain VistA systems to meet project and client requirements
  • Install and test VistA patches, ensuring system integrity and functionality
  • Manage and administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls
  • Provide direct support to users, troubleshoot issues, and resolve VistA-related problems promptly
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other IT technical engineers to ensure system compatibility and performance
  • Participate in SAFe/Agile ceremonies and support agile development processes
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to system configurations, patch management, and user support
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in SAFe/Agile Software Development
  • Experience working in the federal government IT space
  • Familiarity with VA environment is a plus
  • Ability to obtain a government clearance
