Summary
Join DreamWorks Animation as an artist contributing to the early story and visual development process, as well as the production process. You will create artwork for characters, environments, backgrounds, costumes, and props, working under the guidance of a Production Designer and Art Director. Responsibilities include supporting other departments on design specifics and ensuring all timelines are met. The role requires strong design principles, color theory understanding, and collaboration skills. Proficiency in Photoshop is required, while knowledge of Maya and/or ZBrush is a plus. This is a fully remote position with a salary range of $86,300 - $125,000.

Responsibilities
- Create artwork that informs the early story and visual development process and well as the production process once the look of picture is defined
- Work under the guidance of a Production Designer and Art Director to generate artwork related to characters, environments, backgrounds, costume and prop design
- Support the Story, Modeling, Surfacing, Matte Painting and Layout departments on design specifics required for establishing locations and cameras
- Ensure all timelines are met
- Communicate progress of work to production staff
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Photoshop, knowledge of Maya and/or ZBrush a plus
