Summary

Join ICC's Unified Web Hosting team as a Web Administration consultant, providing ongoing support and project services. Reporting to the technical team lead, you will leverage your deep Linux OS administration and web application expertise. This remote position, with one week of on-call duty per month, is preferably located in Valencia, Spain, but can be remote within the CET time zone. You will support the team on various projects and ongoing services. The role requires significant experience in system administration, web servers, version control, scripting, cloud services, and service management methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.

Requirements

  • Have prior experience in System Administration and Linux operating system
  • Have knowledge of Open-Source Web Servers like Nginx or Apache
  • Have experience with versioning systems (git)
  • Be able to understand and write code in some scripting language: Bash, Python, PHP, etc
  • Have experience with Cloud-Based services (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Have knowledge of Service Management methodologies (ITIL)
  • Have a minimum of 3 years working experience as Web Applications Administrator with significant exposure to PHP, Java and/or Python
  • Be able to distill complex problems and drive toward creative solutions
  • Be able to interact with customers, assess and gather customer requirements, comparing pros and cons, to propose best suited option and turn them into solution designs
  • Have a willingness to learn on the job

Responsibilities

Support the Unified Web Hosting Team on projects or ongoing support services, as per arising needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience with CMSs: WordPress, Drupal, Moodle, Liferay
  • Have experience with Databases: MariaDB/MySQL, Postgres
  • Have experience with Load-balancing and proxy technologies including CDNs
  • Have experience with Containers: Docker, Kubernetes
  • Have Cloud certifications (Azure & AWS)
  • Have Knowledge & Experience of the LAMP stack
