Web Designer

Summary

The Web Design Project Lead is responsible for supervising the daily operations of their team, contributing to team development, and acting as the first point of escalation. This is a remote position requiring a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Digital Media, Graphic Design, or related field with experience in web design.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Digital Media, Graphic Design, or related field
• Experience in web design, including responsive web design
• Strong understanding of Design Systems and Process
• Experience in Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver
• Knowledge of the latest trends in design and front-end website development (Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, SASS etc.)
• Strong fundamental HTML/CSS/JS skills (applicants should be able to hand-code, we do not use WordPress, PHP, etc.)
• Strong organizational and communication skills both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of their team and contribute to team development
• Act as first point of escalation for complex design tasks and interdepartmental issues
• Facilitate employee training for new team members
• Track key departmental statistics and KPI metrics
• Offer recommendations and implement departmental efficiency improvements
• Provide ETAs and act as the main POC for client and technical support issues

Preferred Qualifications

• 8 years’ experience in field or career
• Prior experience as a supervisor or manager
• Experience with Workflow Management Systems such as JIRA
• Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Understanding of Project Management
