Requirements

  • Certified through a program accredited by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT)
  • Specialized knowledge in providing yoga therapy supportive of and sensitive to clinical needs of specific patient populations

Responsibilities

  • Utilize yoga practices demonstrated to be safe for individuals in generally good health
  • Adapt yoga protocols to match the Veteran’s ability and medical needs
  • Educate Veterans regarding the health benefits associated with yoga
