Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science or equivalent experience
  • Entry level knowledge on Microsoft SQL Server
  • Entry level knowledge in Windows Server Administration
  • Microsoft windows Clustering
  • Entry level Server, storage, and networking hardware knowledge
  • Ticket management, issue tracking and change-log management skills
  • Able to work in a team and communicate effectively with the ability to work independently
  • Business awareness: specific knowledge of the customer and how IT relates to their business strategy and goals
  • Embrace working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple projects/issues in occasionally high-pressure situations
  • Ability to travel for client engagements up to 10% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Manage Zabbix tickets from start to finish
  • Assist Technical Service team for issues related to monitoring or lack thereof
  • Develop new methods to streamline common processes
  • Develop security standards for monitoring applications and ensure that they are aligned with internal and client security requirements
  • Configure monitoring of all software including Backup and Critical Applications that run on client networks
  • Configure monitoring of all Microsoft applications including Windows Server, Windows desktop OS, SQL, Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, and Office 365
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the software application catalog and how it relates to the customer’s needs
  • Create and edit documentation of internal processes and procedures
  • Communicate with customers, keeping them informed of incident progress and notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
  • Enter all work as service tickets into ConnectWise
  • Work through a daily schedule in ConnectWise, closely logging all time and expenses

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional IT Certifications, such as: SQL, Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE, Citrix CCEA or CCIA, SonicWall CSSA, ConnectWise CCPA, LabTech LTCP, Cisco CCNA, or VMware VCP
  • Scripting & Automation experience
