Summary
Join our IT team as a reliable and hands-on System Administrator. This role requires a strong foundation in networking, Linux, and Windows server environments. You will proactively support day-to-day infrastructure operations, troubleshoot issues across on-prem and virtualized systems, and collaborate with other teams. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT infrastructure role
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, subnets, routing, firewalls)
- Strong experience managing and troubleshooting Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat etc.) and Windows Server environments
- Experience with managing an IDP (Okta or equivalent) users, groups logic and application integration
- Experience with system monitoring tools (Zabbix etc.)
- Experience with Mac device management
- Experience with Google Workspace management
- Familiarity with Cloud platforms and infrastructure (AWS and IaC)
- Familiarity with basic scripting for task automation (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)
- Proven knowledge of Active Directory management
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for technical issues escalated beyond initial support tiers
- Maintain and troubleshoot Windows and Linux server environments, ensuring high availability and performance
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across systems
- Set up and maintain networking components such as switches, firewalls, and VPNs, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability using tools like Zabbix or equivalent
- Support and administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file services
- Apply system patches, updates, and perform routine maintenance
- Assist with system backup, recovery procedures, and data integrity practices
- Write and maintain clear system documentation and operational procedures
- Collaborate with other IT and development teams to resolve issues and support infrastructure projects
- Automate routine tasks and configurations using scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Zero Trust or VPN-based secure remote access solutions
- Familiarity with endpoint management tools for Mac/Windows (e.g., Jamf, Endpoint Central)
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery tools and methodologies
- Understanding of IT security principles and practices
- Any of the following certifications: MCSA, CCNA, RHCSA, Jamf Certified Associate, AWS SysOps Administrator, Terraform Associate, Cloud and Infrastructure Certifications
