Summary

Join UltraViolet Cyber's Federal Delivery Team as a Zero Trust Architect! This role focuses on advancing a large-scale Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), encompassing endpoint protection, identity access management, and secure cloud integration. You will manage deployments of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, SIEM, and Sentinel solutions, support threat detection and response, and identify cybersecurity gaps. The position requires significant experience in designing and operating Zero Trust frameworks within federal or regulated environments. Remote work is offered with monthly in-person meetings in Washington, DC. Public Trust eligibility is required.

Requirements

  • 7+ Years of total Security Engineering and Architecture experience
  • 5+ years of experience designing and operating Zero Trust frameworks
  • Proven experience designing and deploying ZTA architectures in federal or regulated environments
  • Expertise with tools and platforms include Microsoft Azure, M365, Defender, Sentinel, ARMIS, Cloudflare, Zscaler, and Microsoft Intune
  • Familiarity with RMF, FedRAMP, and FISMA frameworks
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

Responsibilities

  • Design and mature enterprise-wide ZTA aligned with NIST 800-207 and CISA Zero Trust Maturity Model (ZTMM)
  • Lead integration efforts across Identity, Devices, Network, Applications, and Data pillars
  • Coordinate across teams supporting SIEM, Defender for Endpoint, and RMF functions
  • Develop architecture diagrams, technology roadmaps, and solution blueprints
  • Provide technical leadership during assessments, COOP events, and incident escalations
  • Assessment planning for Identity, Devices, Segmenting & Network Security, Application Workload, and Data protection, in adherence to the following Federal Zero Trust tenants
  • Develop plans and implementation of the pillars of Zero Trust Maturity Model (ZTMM) in the areas of: Identity, Device, Application & Workload, Data, Network & Environment, Automation & Orchestration, and Visibility & Analytics
  • Develop ZTA System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management (C-SCRM) support documentations and related supporting artifacts in accordance but not limited to NIST SP 800-207

Preferred Qualifications

  • Able to attend monthly in-person meetings in Washington, DC
  • Clearance: Must be Public Trust eligible
  • Hours: Full-time (40 hrs/week), standard eight-hour business schedule between the hours of 6:00am and 5:30pm, EST, Monday through Friday
