Summary
Join our AAA Art Team and be an exceptional Realistic Character Artist who crafts lifelike digital humans. Responsibilities include sculpting and modeling anatomically accurate human characters using ZBrush, Maya, and Marvelous Designer; translating high-res sculpts into game-ready meshes; applying high-quality PBR texturing; collaborating with other artists; and implementing feedback. Requirements include 3β5+ years of experience in AAA game development or high-end VFX, a strong portfolio, advanced knowledge of human anatomy, expert-level skills in ZBrush, Maya, Substance Painter, and proven experience in creating PBR materials. At least one shipped AAA title with significant contribution to character production is required. Requirements
- 3β5+ years of experience in AAA game development or high-end VFX with a focus on realistic character art
- A strong portfolio showcasing high-fidelity, anatomically accurate characters with clean topology and detailed texture work
- Advanced knowledge of human anatomy , including muscle structure, fat distribution, and bone landmarks
- Expert-level skills in ZBrush , Maya , Substance Painter , and related industry-standard tools
- Proven experience in creating PBR materials with physically accurate surface properties and realistic material responses
- Excellent sculpting skills with attention to surface detail, asymmetry, and natural imperfections
- Strong communication and organizational skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- At least one shipped AAA title with significant contribution to character production
Responsibilities
- Sculpt and model anatomically accurate human characters with a focus on realism, detail, and believability , using tools like ZBrush, Maya, and Marvelous Designer
- Translate high-res sculpts into clean, game-ready meshes with optimized topology and efficient UV layouts
- Apply high-quality PBR texturing techniques to create lifelike skin, pores, hair, eyes, and fabric materials , using tools like Substance Painter, Mari, and Photoshop
- Create and apply micro details such as pores, wrinkles, and subtle skin deformations to enhance realism
- Collaborate with concept artists, tech animators, and rigging teams to ensure seamless integration of assets into the pipeline
- Implement feedback from Art Directors and Leads, refining character assets to meet the highest visual and technical standards
- Stay updated on the latest tools, techniques, and anatomical studies to push the boundaries of realistic character art
