Summary
Join Vanta's general ledger accounting team as an Accounting Analyst and play a key role in supporting accounting operations. You will manage employee expense and partner payables processes, perform month-end close duties, and conduct variance analysis and account reconciliations. Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in accounting is required
- 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience, preferably within a dynamic or start up business environment
- A strong familiarity with accounting principles and financial statements
- Self-motivation and direction with the ability to prioritize while being highly deadline oriented
- Strong communication skills, as well as Excel and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of the larger finance team in a fast-paced environment
- Have a continuous improvement mindset - always seeking ways to work smarter, not harder
Responsibilities
- Process and verify expense reimbursements for payment and facilitate sync to NetSuite
- Maintain the expense reimbursement tool and ensure functionality is consistent with best practices
- Compile partner payables and review data for reporting and accuracy
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the general ledger ensuring correct coding and documentation
- Reconcile bank statements and other general ledger accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits
- Assist with month end and year end close processes including journal entries, accruals and adjustments
- Prepare flux analysis, ad hoc financial analysis, participate in special projects, and perform other duties as assigned
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline financial operations
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, acting with trustworthiness and maintaining confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated financial software systems competency; knowledge of NetSuite, Brex and Ramp preferred
