Summary

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
  • 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience, preferably within a dynamic or start up business environment
  • A strong familiarity with accounting principles and financial statements
  • Self-motivation and direction with the ability to prioritize while being highly deadline oriented
  • Strong communication skills, as well as Excel and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of the larger finance team in a fast-paced environment
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset - always seeking ways to work smarter, not harder

Responsibilities

  • Process and verify expense reimbursements for payment and facilitate sync to NetSuite
  • Maintain the expense reimbursement tool and ensure functionality is consistent with best practices
  • Compile partner payables and review data for reporting and accuracy
  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the general ledger ensuring correct coding and documentation
  • Reconcile bank statements and other general ledger accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits
  • Assist with month end and year end close processes including journal entries, accruals and adjustments
  • Prepare flux analysis, ad hoc financial analysis, participate in special projects, and perform other duties as assigned
  • Collaborate with the finance team to streamline financial operations
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, acting with trustworthiness and maintaining confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated financial software systems competency; knowledge of NetSuite, Brex and Ramp preferred
