Join Wave as an Accounting Coach and empower small business owners to manage their finances fearlessly by guiding them in effectively utilizing Wave's Accounting and other featured products. As a mentor, you will empower entrepreneurs with the knowledge and confidence to manage their businesses seamlessly on Wave, covering accounting principles and software functionalities.

Requirements

  • Completion of post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, or Business
  • 0-2 Years of general working experience
  • Previous experience in cloud accounting
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks when needed to complete work that needs to be done at the end of each day. Ability to balance the needs of each of your clients and help them be successful
  • Able to explain accounting concepts in lay terms
  • Active listener with the ability to be customer-focused and capable of building quick and earnest rapport with prospective clients
  • Confident with software tools and willing to learn and use new software effectively that will support the coaching services and internal processes
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work towards outstanding results. Possesses a positive attitude and a desire to grow and excel in everything you do

Responsibilities

  • Communicating and partnering with Small Business Entrepreneurs (clients) through Wave Advisor Coaching Services
  • Efficiently navigating a diverse portfolio of clients, prioritizing their most pressing needs
  • Seamlessly transitioning between scheduled calls and email support, ensuring a fluid and effective management approach
  • Responding to client questions by email in a timely manner. Prioritizing responses by urgency
  • Distilling and understanding a business owner’s pain points in a timely manner and supporting them with troubleshooting and problem-solving as needed
  • Coaching and explaining accounting concepts in lay terms to support clients' understanding
  • Excluding customer success skills, being flexible and adjusting to each client's unique needs
  • Ensuring time is used wisely during Coaching Calls, addressing business owner’s highest priority issues, while also being able to wrap up a call at the best stopping point
  • Following up on issues or business owners' needs. By conducting self-research, testing answers in Wave’s software, connecting with internal teams and/or gaining team feedback. Responding to post-calls in a timely manner
  • Providing clearly communicated post-call email support with an openness to continued partnership working together
  • Following all HubSpot processes to help the team as a whole manage all coaching clients and recognize revenue
