Accounting Team Lead

Summary

Join World Business Lenders (WBL), a 100% remote company, as a Contract/Consultant in Accounting. This role supports the Controller in monthly closing, vendor invoice management, and GL account reconciliation. You will ensure accurate and timely vendor payments, manage accounting processes, and participate in special projects focused on automation. The position requires strong accounting experience, proficiency in English, and expertise with accounting software. It's a remote position offering a USD salary and PTO.

Requirements

• 100% fluency in English, with exceptional English verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years general accounting experience and demonstrated technical accounting knowledge
• Previous Accounts Payable accounting experience required - During the interview a Accounting Test will be applied
• Well-versed in IFRS and/or GAAP accounting
• Proficient with Microsoft: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint required

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Controller to close books every month and take responsibilities as the second in command
• Maintaining all vendor invoices recognized in compliance with accuracy and completeness
• Reconciliation of selected GL accounts, including cash and accrual accounts
• Controlling vendor invoices are accurate and complete in ERP system
• Preparing vendor based monthly reconciliations
• Special Projects including automation of processes through in-house initiatives/3rd party vendors and other duties as assigned in support of the Corporate Controller
• Ensure timely vendor payment, review and monitor accounts payable aging analysis
• Set up wires, ACH and book transfers
• Communicate with vendors as required
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, processes and internal controls
• Other projects and duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Sage GL and AP is preferred, but not required
• Teams experience preferred
