Summary
Join Airbnb's Advocacy team as a Community Organizer and design, execute, and analyze community activation strategies to mobilize hosts and guests around regulatory issues impacting short-term rentals. You will leverage digital tools and grassroots organizing techniques to inspire action, connect community members with policymakers, and drive meaningful policy change. This role requires 2+ years of experience in community organizing, advocacy campaigns, or political mobilization and demonstrated knowledge of grassroots advocacy techniques. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, create advocacy materials, and report on campaign performance. The position is US-Remote Eligible with occasional office work or offsite attendance. Compensation includes a base pay range of $87,000-$102,000 USD, plus potential bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience in community organizing, advocacy campaigns, or political mobilization
- Demonstrated knowledge of grassroots advocacy techniques, including digital organizing and community mobilization
- Proficiency in writing and producing digital content, such as email campaigns and other advocacy materials
- Experience using tools such as VAN, Salesforce, NationBuilder, or similar grassroots organizing systems
- Familiarity with cloud productivity apps (Google Workspace), project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday), and virtual conferencing platforms
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

- Willingness to travel as needed to support in-person events and community engagement initiatives
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive community activation strategies aligned with legislative and policy goals
- Create advocacy materials, including email campaigns, call-to-action posts, and host toolkits for sharing and engagement
- Engage with community members through digital channels, webinars, and in-person events to educate and mobilize them on policy issues
- Build and nurture relationships with Host club leaders and advocacy organizations to maximize grassroots impact
- Analyze and report on campaign performance, using data insights to refine strategies and content
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Public Policy stakeholders and external partners to align initiatives and priorities
- Plan and execute events such as action meetings and community meetups to drive grassroots engagement
